Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in Muskego, Wisconsin, United States. The selected candidate will be an integral part of our team, performing a variety of accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Handle general ledger operations • Oversee daily transactions (accounts payable/receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts) • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established controls and procedures • Prepare financial reports for management when needed • Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by verifying and consolidating activities • Develop and maintain financial databases and systems to ensure data accuracy • Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines • Support month-end and year-end close process. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. • Demonstrable proficiency in accounting functions. • Solid understanding of financial regulations and legislation. • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a financial environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel skills. • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar. • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail. • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Demonstrable problem-solving skills. • High level of integrity and a strong ethical stance. • Commitment to continuous detail oriented development.
