About this Opportunity: IFA is seeking two Accountants to join our team and oversee the financial management of two programs: Single Family Program and State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program. As the Accountant for one of these programs, you will safeguard the program’s assets, ensure transactions are properly recorded, and provide analysis of financial results. Assisting auditors in the completion of the annual audit will also be required. Key Responsibilities + Financial Management:Ensure the program’s financial statements are presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Prepare bank reconciliations for all cash accounts & resulting journal entries. Ensure timely and accurate transaction processing, account analysis, reconciliations and schedules + Stakeholder Collaboration:Consult with management and staff regarding the financial condition of the program. + Compliance:Assure debt covenant and arbitrage compliance for all issues, and coordinate timely payments. + Budgeting and Forecasting:Prepare annual operating budgets and forecast cash balances at bond payment dates. + Investment Monitoring:Monitor the investment of idle or excess funds. + Audit Support:Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for the annual independent audit. + Policy Development:Develop and maintain program-specific policies and procedures, and continuously seek to improve processes.
