Summary:

The Corporate Accountant is a key member of the corporate accounting team responsible for the proper accounting of assets and allocations for multiple entities at the company’s corporate headquarters. This position will interact with various stakeholder groups across a variety of business segments and functions, and will work with senior management to resolve issues and drive value-added change. 

Responsibilities:

Manage the monthly financial close process for corporate accounts, including account analysis, account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and balancing intercompany accounts. Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and corresponding elimination entries. Research and interpret generally accepted accounting principles. Gather information and update disclosures for inclusion in company SEC filings. Maintain compliance with internal controls over financial reporting. Assist with integration of acquired companies into accounting/reporting system. Manage accounting for leases, prepaids and various corporate allocations, ensuring compleness and accuracy. Manage accounting for multiple joint ventures. Perform review and analytics over corporate and trade selling, general and administrative expenses to ensure proper external and management reporting. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 0-4 years of experience working in an accounting position

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong Excel skills and proficiency with developing spreadsheets Knowledge of common accounting practices and procedures, including solid understanding of GAAP Experience with Dynamics or a similar accounting software package a plus Detail-oriented; proficiency for accuracy; dependable; positive attitude; team player Ability to multi-task and take ownership of assigned projects Ability to follow instructions and pre-established company procedures Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
