Based in London, the Accountant, International will support accounting and finance functions for the international team for Magnite, a publicly traded US Company (NASDAQ: MGNI). They will report directly to the Director, Accounting, and be part of a growing dynamic company.
In addition, this position will be assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, account analysis, and month end closing activities. They will be part of a world-wide finance organization with team members in the United States and Australia.
In this role you will:
Prepare/review monthly, quarterly, and annual filings of VAT, GST and other returns for multiple entities
Work with Accounting Lead in managing statutory accounts for up to 10 entities, reconciling statutory ledgers on a monthly basis
Assist with any external and internal audit requests
Assist outside firms with corporate income tax filings for multiple entities
Understand underlying business and related processes as the foundation for responsibilities
Assist with the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process, i.e. preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
Work with the international and corporate teams to develop reporting packages to satisfy and support statutory reporting and audits
Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual fluctuation analysis
Assist with the review reconciliations as a part of the close process for delegated accounts
Review AP reports and general ledger detail for coding discrepancies and perform re-classes as needed
Perform ad hoc reviews and analysis, as needed
Maintain adequate internal controls within the accounting processes to ensure well-documented, accurate and timely financial reporting
We’re looking for someone with:
Minimum 2 years of GL accounting experience
Highly detailed and deadline-oriented, with the ability to prioritize, focus and thrive in a high paced multi-tasking environment
Ability to use professional concepts and apply standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations
Strong verbal and written skills along with good interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong Excel skills
Experience with a large ERP system, Oracle Financials preferred
Experience in the advertising and/or technology industry a plus but not required
Ideal candidate will possess professional attitude, initiative, genuine enthusiasm and be an overall team player
