Account Supervisor (Xbox)
This position is open to be based from: Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; San Francisco, CA.
Assembly Media Inc., a subsidiary of Daniel J. Edelman Holdings, Inc., has an exciting opportunity for an Account Supervisor on the Xbox team in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles or New York. This vital position will support the content teams that support Microsoft’s gaming brand, Xbox. This role will focus on working with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to develop and execute strategic communications campaigns for games available on Xbox and Windows. This role sits within the team that launched Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga, Forza Motorsport, Halo Infinite and others. To be successful in this role, applicants require strong account and team management skills, a proven track-record of driving strategic results and the ability to operate in a fast-pace, high-intensity environment.
A background or personal interest in gaming is highly encouraged and will be prioritized.ResponsibilitiesConsistently produce high quality internal and external communications content, and lead the creation of communications plans that meet client/developer objectivesOperate as a part of a larger team, serving as the day-to-day client contact to manage and drive programs, create and land earned media stories in key outlets, and calibrate participation at industry eventsManage junior staffers, fostering their growth and developmentDemonstrate a comprehensive understanding of clients’ businesses and their missions as well as their key stakeholders: consumers, media, partners, etc.Manage multiple projects from conception to completion by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherenceDemonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving outreach plans, message development, management of events, effective pitching and training of spokespersons and growth of contact networkBuild and apply an understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape and how they impact clientsManage comprehensive coverage monitoring; prepare accurate and timely client reports and provide thoughtful analysis and feedback on resultsPush for creative ideas, be purposeful and enterprising in problem-solving and embrace diverse trends, skills, specialties and viewpointsDemonstrate a strategic and thoughtful approach in challenging others to ask the right questionsBasic QualificationsAt least four years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including public relations, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing, preferably within an agency settingA bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or universityPreferred QualificationsProven ability to manage large projects and small teams on one or more sizable accountsSolid knowledge of the media landscape within the gaming and tech industry is ideal. Strong relationships with reporters covering the space are a plusUnderstand the role media and industry analysts play in shaping perceptions, and know how to effectively tap them to achieve a range of client goals (or blunt potentially negative coverage)Excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated ability to delegate tactical assignments and accurately judge and edit work of othersFamiliar with best practice integrated Communications Marketing tactics and tools and will be able to recommend them to his/her clients$79,000 - $95,000 a yearAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
