Job DetailsThe Account Supervisor serves as the primary day-to-day client contact. The Account Supervisor supports the development of the strategic direction for the brand and assists in managing the agency team from project planning through implementation. This position supports client relationships at the manager level, account profitability and growth, and strategic cross-pillar servicing opportunities. The Account Supervisor is responsible for managing and training junior direct reports. 
The successful Account Supervisor is extremely detail-oriented, an active listener, able to take and give direction and effectively communicate business needs. This person possesses a general understanding of and is eager to learn more about managed markets, marketing communications, brand strategy and the pharmaceutical industry. He/she will have the ability to see projects through from planning to execution and has a clear understanding of how each project and overall scope of work supports the clients objectives and brands managed markets strategies.Responsibilities:Manages day-to-day needs of account and maintains daily client contact and follow-up Maintains financial control by assisting with internal bi-monthly forecast updates, preparing client budget/forecast reconciliations, and generating annual financial budgetsPossesses as solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, managed markets space, therapeutic category, brand and relevant competitorsWorks with internal team members to develop and understand the client Value Proposition; evaluates individual tactics developed by the agency against the Value PropositionWorks with internal team members to develop and understand the Project Brief for appropriate tactics; evaluates project against the Project Brief Mentors, educates, trains and motivates junior account staff Recognize and act upon opportunities to share additional pillar offerings in an effort to expand relationship with the clientKey Competency: Managed Markets MarketingSelf-starter who demonstrates initiative when exploring team and client needs, responding to requests and learning about payers, disease states, therapeutic categories, brands, and communication channels Demonstrates a developing proficiency of skills including but not limited to: attention to detail, organization, problem solving, priority setting and presentation skills to internal and external audiences Exhibits a strong work ethic Consistently adheres to agency work standards Successfully manages multiple projects and exercises judgement to prioritize and accomplish tasks Approaches client business with a holistic approach Understands the basic principles and framework for client’s and brand’s strategic approach to managed markets Experience in both print and digitalKey Competency: LeadershipFosters a team environment across functions Develops strong, productive relationships with internal team Possesses ability to present his/her point-of-view and influence decision-making Maintains composure under pressure; leads by example while seeking and accepting feedback Acts with professionalism and integrity Recognizes and escalates issues when appropriate Demonstrates respect, empathy and appreciating for others Regularly exercises judgement and discretion to manage multiple projectsJob Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (concentration in Marketing, Communications preferred) 3-5 years of agency, healthcare marketing experience Strong knowledge of managed markets, pharmaceutical marketing and sales.
