Account Specialist, Health & Benefits

The Role

Assist colleagues in the management of the annual lifecycle of employee benefits for clients Work with the Account Managers, Account Executives and Producers to meet client needs, including: Strategy: reviewing clients’ benefit options Updating benefit guides Answer client questions Address escalated member benefit issues Work with vendors to solve employer and employee benefits issues Organize and participate in employee meetings (open enrollment, benefits fairs, etc.) Assist with RFPs for clients Help new clients through the onboarding process Assist colleagues with maintaining clients’ insurance policies Ensure the internal compliance process is being followed and documented Opportunity to advance through career path: Account Manager, Account Executive, Producer

The Requirements

2-5 years of professional experience, ideally in health insuranceIntermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, PowerPoint and SharePointHome office space with high-speed internetLeadership – applies judgement, motivates other individuals, promotes teamworkRelationship Management and customer focus – collaborates to serve clients and help resolve conflictsAbility to effectively engage with carriers and clients to maintain renewal terms and existing businessStrong verbal and written communication skillsProblem solving abilities, including critical thinking and adaptabilityProject management skills, including attention to detail, organizational skills, prioritization and time managementMust successfully complete appropriate licensing exam(s) and/or maintain required licensing by completing various Continuing Education activities as needed. If already licensed, must be able to show valid confirmation of current licensing status.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role.

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $63,000-$70,000 USD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
