Account Manager - Protective Packaging

Job Summary

The protective packaging Account Manager is responsible for new business development, the sale of packaging materials and services by developing and maintaining customer contacts within an assigned territory or area of responsibility. Products would include corrugated, films, foam, labels, poly, and/or misc. packaging materials.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Services and maintains positive relationships with current customer baseGrows product offerings and new programsDevelops and maintains strategic plans for customers and prospectsUnderstands and performs cost savings analysis for customersGenerates new sales to new and existing customersProblem solving and solution generatingQualify customers’ creditworthinessMonitors sales market in assigned region or responsibility Prepares various reports as requiredAccounts receivable managementStay up to date on product knowledge and industry innovationsPerforms other duties as required

​Qualifications

Preferred bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related areaMinimum of two years in the packaging industryWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and other software for business applicationsPreferred sales background, but not requiredPreferred experience and knowledge of films, corrugated, foam, poly, and/or labels. Preferred experience and knowledge on UFP’s organization, culture, and product lines
