Account Manager (Group Health Insurance)

Position Summary
As an Account Manager, you are considered the customers' main point of contact, and are responsible for overseeing all of their day-to-day operations. Account Managers act as the liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams, and are responsible for ensuring timely/successful delivery of customer requests. Excellent communication skills are required to ensure we understand our customer's needs and are able to build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with our key business stakeholders. Additionally, Account Managers are expected to demonstrate a high level of customer service through the execution of accuracy, responsiveness, reliability, and professionalism on all interactions. This will include managing the resolution status of routine to complex requests related to our customers' business requirements; including but not limited to:

Issue Tracking- Engaging internal departments and customer resources to work on outstanding issues from start to resolution while providing routine updates to the customer.Driving Practical and Creative Solutions- Critically thinking about complex situations to find optimal outcome.Engaging Appropriate Resources - Discuss information at varying degrees of complexity, at varying stages of progression, and engage internal or customer resources best appropriate to drive issue resolution.Work within deadlines and drive resolution within a timely manner.Responsible for utilizing member-focused strategies to improve member experience and customer satisfaction.Renewal Implementation- Lead implementation of renewal by working with cross-functional internal teams, consultants and customer.This role supports member retention and growth goals.Supports operations and sales teams on ad hoc projects.May require travel to offsite locations for in-person meetings.

Required Qualifications

2-5 years of client relationship experience including issue resolution and account administration.3 years of customer facing experienceGroup Health Insurance and/or Broker Industry experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)State insurance license, as required by state law (or ability to obtain this license within first 3 months of hire).20% travel required.This position is based in Utah


Preferred Qualifications

2+ years Account Management, Health Insurance Industry experience.2-5 years carrier or brokerage Health/Life industry experience in a capacity of interacting and servicing customers.


Education

Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience (HS Diploma + 2 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$46,988.00 - $91,014.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
