Account Manager
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an Account Manager. The Account Manager will be primarily responsible for managing the sales and profitability of accounts assigned by directly influencing relevant internal and external commercial activities. The Account Manager will be responsible for products such as Inverter, eMotor, eDrive Units, and On-board Chargers. This position will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Program Management to create and implement strategies for maximizing current business and obtaining new business. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in coordination of new business quotations. You will make an impact in our team and with our customers by bringing your positive attitude, strategic thinking, and innovative approach toward Internal and External Customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Represents the business unit in a professional, positive manner.Develops (with input from cross-functional teams) and deploys comprehensive customer strategies that improve the profitability and growth for the business.Works in conjunction with sales management to deploy comprehensive pricing strategies which are market driven, based on value provided to the customer and competitive alternatives.Articulates a clear understanding of our market share, competitive position, and profitability at each assigned account.Develops and deploys the customer interface strategy (points of contact, frequency) building strong rapport with key decision makers, developing coaches and sponsors as necessary.Develops proactive new business pursuit plans, tracking and recording progress towards sales objectives.Monitors market dynamics, including customer and competitor developments, funneling relevant information to the appropriate sales & strategy management team for consolidation into our market sensing process.Takes ownership of total customer satisfaction, monitoring our performance on key supplier metrics, and pursuing corrective action plans as appropriate.Develops sales forecast for integration into Long Range Plan, monitors market trends throughout the year to provide support and recommendations to plant monthly forecast adjustments.Complies with contract review procedures and BW commercial policies.Provides global coordination on customer issues where required.Shares and seeks information outside of his/her business unit.

What we’re looking for:

Demonstrated ability to grow customer accounts profitability.Can hold pursuit team accountable to deliver business results aligned with BU objectives.Ability to close open commercial issues timely, with minimal external noise.Communicates clear & concise account strategies, willing to adapt as situations develop & change.Builds strong relationships enabling the influence of people both internal & external to the organization.Ability to see globally, leveraging market & customer trends as inputs to our growth/profitability plans.Ideally 6+ years of relevant experience, Account Management working with Global OEM, North American Big 3 or Ford Experience (Preferred)2+ years OE Automotive Account Management and/or other relevant Automotive experience (minimum)Bachelor's Degree (commercial/technical preferred), Master’s Degree preferred.
