The opportunities to grow our wholesale sales is at the forefront and we are looking for an Account Manager to lead us in this endeavor.
As Horizon Hobby’s Account Manager, you are responsible for achieving sales targets by ensuring the success of key retail business partners consisting primarily of Horizon Hobby Approved Retail Partners. We sell fun RC products that inspire dreams and help build lasting memories. We’re looking for an ambitious, creative and self-assured sales professional with a proven track record to join our team.
Key focus is placed on building strong relationships with key retail business partners, presenting new products, providing input with retail strategies, merchandise placement and developing marketing initiatives to drive increased sales. In addition, you will have input in key projects including but not limited to sales promotions, product placement planning, internet partner sales growth opportunities, exclusive product offerings and industry and partner conventions.
Reporting to Wholesale Sales leadership, you provide balanced and focused sales efforts, building retailer relationships aligned with our strategic values, vision, and goals.
Roles & Responsibilities
Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. Building strong relationships with your retail accounts built on a solid understanding of their business. Submitting accurate account-based forecasts within defined timelines, sales reports, and customer feedback reports. Serving as the first line of contact for key retail business partners by providing product sales training, major product or technology launch support, marketing recommendations and merchandising assistance. Attending sales meetings, training programs, and trade shows as requested. Other duties to be assignedEducation and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 5 years of experience in multi-unit retail leadership, marketing or sales with territory management experience. Hobby knowledge and experience (personal or professional) a plus. Proven track record delivering on defined sales objectives. Comfortable doing product demonstration to large audiences. Must possess strong organization, communication and presentation skills. Must have valid driver's license and have full time access to a reliable vehicle. Must be able to assist with set up of merchandising displays, including use of basic tools and hold/move at least 40 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.Benefits and other perks
