Key position responsibilities (The duties that must be performed on a regular basis to accomplish the result.):

Key expected position results / outcomes:

Identification of business development opportunities, with opportunities developed and progressed until the point of such opportunities becoming a commercial reality. 

Strategic analysis and development of various markets, including but not limited to; mining, rail, oil and gas 

Travel will be a requirement of the role within your allocated state(s) as well as interstate to ensure commercial opportunities are appropriately explored and serviced. 

Plan and undertake regular call patterns to existing customers to promote Alcoa Fastening Systems  products. 

Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure the development of a platform that promotes sales on both a regular and ad-hoc basis. 

Service and develop accounts according to sales targets through effective sales presentations, training, joint calls and utilisation of support services including Account Managers, Business Development Managers, Engineers and Service Personnel where appropriate.

Develop and maintain customer relationships that result in commercial realities.

Implement new and innovative AFS products through detailed project management and marketing programs.

Proactive, planned and detailed sales marketing plans implemented for specified and generic markets and customers. 

Provision of recommendations and opportunities to the Sales & Marketing Manager for incorporation into the organisation’s sales and marketing strategy.   

Translate field and customer interfacing knowledge into tangible information for incorporation into the organisation’s sales and marketing strategy. 

Provide application and product knowledge to Customer Service and other relevant AFS Staff.

Provide an advisory service to other Arconic Staff in a timely manner

Adopt a role in the development and implementation of AFS Displays at Trade Show Events

Ensure a positive image of AFS is portrayed at Trade Shows with an appropriate range of AFS products clearly displayed and communicated to existing and potential customers

Liaise with and work in conjunction with the Global Alcoa Oil & Gas Committee.

Provision of accurate sales data and reports regarding justification of and attainment to strategic business development plan. 

Utilising available resources, maintain a database which captures potential contacts and opportunities for AFS.

Identify, record and maintain a list of potential contacts and opportunities for AFS.  Report on and address any barriers preventing such opportunities from translating into a commercial reality.   

Undertake projects which have the capacity to translate into commercial and business development opportunities 

Undertake projects, as identified, that provide an appropriate return on capital

Provide guidance and advice to Customer Service Representatives.

Provision of knowledge and business acumen to Alcoa Staff to maximise the effectiveness of such resources. 

Undertake other duties as directed by the Sales & Marketing Manager

Undertake activities, as directed, that contribute to the overall ability of AFS to satisfy customer and internal requirements.
