We are seeking for an experienced Account Manager to manage and grow the AWS business with accounts that operate within the network of EU financial authorities and regulatory bodies, such as the European Central Bank (ECB), European Investment Bank (EIB), European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), and others. You will be establishing AWS as the key cloud technology provider across these strategic accounts.
Key job responsibilities
• Serve as the primary AWS contact and trusted advisor for senior stakeholders at the target EU institutions
• Develop a deep understanding of each customer's business objectives and technology roadmap,
• Collaborate cross-functionally with AWS sales, solutions architecture, professional services, and support teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences
• Proactively identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within your accounts
• Understand and navigate complex procurement and governance processes common in the European public sector
• Meet and exceed annual revenue targets through expansion of AWS services consumption
A day in the life
The daily schedule is typically a balance of customer-facing activities and internal coordination, all aimed at driving customer success:
• Conducting regular check-in calls and meetings with key stakeholders
• Proactively identifying new business opportunities and use cases within the accounts
• Analyzing the customer's usage trends, spend, and growth potential
• Developing strategic business plans
• Aligning the customer's long-term technology roadmap with AWS offerings
• Negotiating contract renewals, amendments, and new service agreements
• Ensuring the customer is optimizing their AWS spend and receiving full value
• Facilitating collaboration between the customer and relevant AWS partners
• Ensuring effective delivery of partner-led solutions and services
• Coordinating with cross-functional AWS teams (sales, solutions architecture, professional services, support)
• Providing feedback and insights to product teams to influence future roadmaps
About the team
Our team is primarily based in Brussels, with additional members strategically located across other EU member states. We work closely with a wide range of customers, including the European Commission, European Parliament, European Central Bank, and other key public sector organizations spread throughout the European Union. Utilizing deep industry expertise and strong relationships, we proactively identify opportunities to drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and improve citizen services within these complex, multinational institutions. Every day we are positioning AWS as a trusted strategic partner in the EU's digital transformation journey.
