Account Director - Aviation

Our Aviation team is seeking an experienced Aviation broker to join the Sydney office. Utilise your industry knowledge and technical skills in this collaborative and high-performing team. The purpose of this role is to manage and expand a portfolio of clients, ensuring that their risk management and insurance broking needs are addressed. This includes developing relationships with existing clients and implementing business development strategies for new opportunities, contributing to the overall growth of the portfolio.
 

The Role

Service and manage clients as directed by the Head of Aviation Prepare client reports Liaise with underwriters, insurers, and other key industry stakeholders Assist the Head of Aviation with client renewal programs Market WTW and develop new business Manage customer records and databases Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve client queries Process insurance closings, endorsements, and policy certification/wordings Manage claims Maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and other key partners Explore cross-selling opportunities with WTW broking Obtain formal client feedback annually for all qualifying accounts in accordance with Willis Towers Watson Client Service protocols Represent the client's perspective internally and within teams when making decisions about processes, approaches, and future strategies Ensure settlements, client cash allocations, and credit management are within agreed parameters Guarantee that each client has an agreed service plan, and that client advocates implement all aspects of the plan Maintain and develop strong relationships with insurers Identify development needs and establish clear goals to support colleagues' learning and career progression Achieve and maintain compliance with relevant legislative requirements for your client base  Generate new business opportunities contributing to the continued growth of the team Offer premium funding where appropriate

The Requirements

Proven aviation broking experienceExcellent technical skills in coverage and wording reviewAn understanding and proficiency of claims management processesExperience with the placement and servicing of complex and multinational clientsProven success in generating new businessOral and written communication skills on individual and small group basisSuccess in managing team relationships and senior level client relationshipsProficiency in all MS Office products and Outlook
