This position is responsible for assisting in the validation, maintenance, and support of Epic Scheduling & Cadence Templates. Performs in-depth analysis of operational scheduling requirements including complex scheduling protocols and building provider templates, data collection, report details, and department specific workflows. Collaborates with other team members to assist in design, validation, and problem resolution to identify the most efficient, streamlined appointment scheduling process.

Responsibilities Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with outpatient clinics, departments or division staff and leadership.Coordinates & maintains master provider scheduling templates requests that align with organization template standards and scheduling best practices for assigned areas.Demonstrates expertise in scheduling operations through analysis of template and scheduling processes & utilization; recommends improvements including enhanced system functionality.Collaborates and consults with essential parties regarding scheduling & templates design, change requests (providers, clinics leadership, schedulers, etc.) and gains approval.Provides change control oversight and forecasts impact to access with proposed changes (EPE, clinic flow, room utilization, capacity & demand, patient scheduling) for patients, providers and clinics.Distributes and reviews key metric reports with assigned areas on a regular basis; recommends adjustments as needed.Provides training, knowledge and education to ensure adherence to Organizational Template Standards and scheduling best practices in a variety of formats and audiences (meetings, classroom, one on one, etc).Assists with testing, development and implementation of Epic upgrades & enhancements.Collaborates with IT on system changes needed.Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesDemonstrates excellence in verbal and written communication.Strong presentation& negotiating skills (discussions with providers & leaders).Ability to prioritize and multi task.Ability to analyze data and recommend workable solutions.Problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Qualifications QualificationsRequiredFour years of provider appointment scheduling, provider template building, or equivalency.Epic Cadence Certification to be obtained within 1 year. Qualifications (Preferred) PreferredExperience using Epic for Business systems.Bachelor's degree in Health Care, Business, or equivalency.Working Conditions and Physical Demands
