Access Peer Finger Lakes Area, NY (Onsite) Full-Time Apply Now (https://flacra.jobs.net/apply/jr07rg6tkgjf4qgyr4q?ipath=CR¬ify=true&siteid=cbnsv) Job Details Job Title:Access Peer Location:Finger Lakes Region, NY Employment Type:Full-Time, Onsite Job Summary: The Access Peer plays a crucial role in coordinating admissions, client tracking, and providing telephonic crisis support services for FLACRA’s Residential and COTI programs. This position ensures seamless communication with clients, referral sources, and internal staff while supporting client engagement and admissions. Candidates must have strong typing skills, administrative experience, and the ability to obtain Peer Certification within six months of hire. Must-Have Qualifications & Skills: + High school diploma or equivalent + At least one year of administrative experience + Typing speed of at least 55 words per minute + Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel + Ability to acquire Peer Certification within six months of hire + Valid NYS Driver’s License (if applicable for agency needs) + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Ability to multitask and remain calm during crisis situations Nice-to-Have Qualifications: + Experience and/or training in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or client care + Prior experience providing telephonic crisis support or client outreach + Experience coordinating intake, referrals, or residential placements Skills & Experience: + Ability to work cooperatively with culturally diverse clients, staff, and community providers + Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving abilities + Ability to exercise professionalism during behavioral health crises + Highly organized with strong communication and documentation skills + Proficient in using electronic communication systems, spreadsheets, and data entry tools Job Requirements: Key Responsibilities: Crisis Support & Client Engagement + Provide telephonic crisis support and engagement services to individuals accessing FLACRA programs + Maintain regular communication with clients placed on waitlists in accordance with COTI policies + Follow up with referral sources to ensure complete and accurate documentation Admissions & Placement Coordination + Screen referrals for Residential Services and coordinate assessments with Access Counselors + Manage bed availability, placements, and waitlists, ensuring real-time accuracy + Complete data entry for the Bed Availability System and maintain up-to-date coordination boards Administrative Support + Assist in organizing meetings, trainings, and agency events + Maintain and distribute updated informational listings and reports + Perform routine data gathering, administrative functions, and other assigned duties Team Collaboration + Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and professionalism when interacting with coworkers, supervisors, and clients + Participate in general staff meetings, in-service trainings, and supervision sessions Additional Responsibilities + Stay current with Narcan training and other agency-required certifications + Handle additional duties as assigned to support Access Team operations About Us: Finger Lakes Area Counseling and Recovery Agency (FLACRA) is a growing, not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and substance use treatment services throughout the Finger Lakes Region.
