Description of Work Unit
Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation’s leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. It is the mission of this department to provide safe, efficient, multi-modal access to campus and manage parking resources to support campus activities and enhance life in the university community. The department is a self-funded auxiliary of Colorado State University that supports all maintenance and operations as they relate to transportation services on campus.
Position Summary
This position is accountable for providing exceptional customer service experience regarding transportation, mobility options and parking regulations on campus using infield education, compliance methods, data collection, and reporting tools. Responsible for the safe operation of a department vehicle outfitted with license plate recognition ( LPR ) equipment to monitor campus parking, while complying with all traffic regulations. Operation and understanding of industry specific hardware and software programs.
This position regulates, educates, and ensures compliance with university parking regulations, set forth by Board of Governors, to support safe access on Colorado State University campuses. Identify and report public safety concerns from infield observation. Ensure alignment with customer service and maintenance team to provide exceptional service. Position must have knowledge and understanding of front office procedures and alternative transportation programs to identify customer needs and offer appropriate options.
Required Job Qualifications
+ Two years experience in general data entry.
+ Two years in client facing customer service.
+ High School Diploma (or GED ).
+ Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license by the position start date.

+ Experience working on multiple Technology platforms (cell phone, laptop, desktop, tablet)

+ Responsible for safe operation of a department vehicle, including daily inspection of customized equipment to meet performance standards.
+ Utilize industry specific license plate recognition software to monitor campus, identifying and alerting to safety concerns and opportunities to improve customer communication and wayfinding.
+ Learn and understand software configuration to ensure performance and identify ongoing maintenance needs.
+ Initiate contravention notices and warnings to customers non-compliant with parking regulations through interactive software programs.
+ Identify system misreads resulting from camera capture area and read rates to initiate manual entries as needed.
+ Stay current on state and federal regulations related to license plates to anticipate and manage software configuration impact.
+ Must be proficient user of software and hardware, to include mobile devices to efficiently perform daily regulatory compliance activities.
+ Maintain high safety standards while making routine vehicle stops monitoring diverse, multi-modal campus.
+ Comply with traffic regulations to meet the highest safety standards while managing and interacting with onboard equipment.

+ Search, track, and update customer account records in T2 software daily as needed to ensure citation history and vehicle registration is updated and assessable by department.
+ Utilize Genetec and T2 software to understand daily, weekly, and monthly trends with regards to monitoring performance and customer compliance.
+ Utilization of reporting to facilitate collaboration with team members, driving continuous improvement in technology platforms and configurations.
+ Support and comply with university security and privacy regulations, including proper use of passwords to access programs.
+ Proficient in T2 software to review customer account, vehicles, notes, permits, activities, and correspondence.

+ Learn and provide information regarding regulations, parking permits, payment methods, department contact information (including website and all customer generated emails) and transportation mobility options.
+ Responsible for understanding front office procedures and processes to support customers with access to campus.
+ Work in alignment with front office team members to update notes in customer accounts and identify customer outreach opportunities.
+ Process non-verbal and verbal customer communication to reach successful solutions to resolve, educate, and de-escalate concerns.
+ Work with team to identify vehicles owners and immobilize vehicles as needed to support safety and customer compliance.
