Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces and civilians deployed around the world under KBR’s Strategic Army Portfolio.  KBR’s enduring mission support of the DoD Armed Forces dates back to 1992 when we served as the Army’s original prime contractor for its Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP). Today, we have a workforce of 5,000 people representing 30 nationalities who perform work in 10 countries.  Under the Agriculture Cleaning and African Swine Fever (ASF) Sanitization (ACAS) contract; KBR will manage and perform the receipt, storage, maintenance, cleaning and sanitation of vehicles and property.

Job Summary

The Sr. Contracts Specialist, will have comprehensive knowledge of Government Contracts and enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced environment dealing with complex contracting matters. Under general supervision, this candidate will be responsible for reviews of performance requirements ensuring compliance with basic contract, government regulations and customer specifications. The position will also require the candidate to work independently to research issues and formulate recommendations to Department management.

Please note: This position will be located on-site, in multiple countries across the Eastern EU and is contingent upon award.

Roles and Responsibilities

Reviewing and evaluating customer requirements while ensuring compliance with the contract;Prepares and administers routine correspondence, memoranda, and contract documentation;In coordination with Department management, advise internal customers on various policies, procedures, approaches, and preferred practices;Reviews of all document submissions, including proposals and estimates, while ensuring compliance with the contract requirements; the Contractor’s approved business systems; and Client/Government requirements, rules, processes, or regulations; Advise Project Managers and other project personnel on contract requirements; Assists with internal/external data calls and serves as liaison to management;Maintain extensive verbal and written communications with contracting personnel at Government agencies and to discuss issues of contract performance and administration;Interface with Government Contracting Officers on a regular and routine basis; Assists monitoring and tracking contract obligations consistent with the contract requirements;Develop and maintain collaborative, positive working relationships with internal and external customers based on respect, honesty, and transparency.Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position.Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree and 4 years of contracts administration or related experience while working on a Government contract.  Equivalent work experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.Must be able to handle rapidly changing priorities and embrace challenges.Requires English fluency as well as excellent communication skills (oral and written).Must be proficient in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).At least 4 years of hands-on Contracts experience with a Department of Defense Program contract is required.Must have at least 4 years of experience working with ACOs in a LOGCAP Contracts role.A working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and its supplements is required.Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
