Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces and civilians deployed around the world under KBR’s Strategic Army Portfolio. KBR’s enduring mission support of the DoD Armed Forces dates back to 1992 when we served as the Army’s original prime contractor for its Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP). Today, we have a workforce of 5,000 people representing 30 nationalities who perform work in 10 countries. Under the Agriculture Cleaning and African Swine Fever (ASF) Sanitization (ACAS) contract; KBR will manage and perform the receipt, storage, maintenance, cleaning and sanitation of vehicles and property.

Job Summary

As a Lead Mechanic you will assist in supervising a team of mechanics in performing maintenance on M1A2SEPv2, M88A3, M109A6, M60 AVLB, and other heavy tracked vehicles as well as M992A3, M113A3 Family of Vehicles, M2A3 BFV, M270A2 MLRS, and other light tracked vehicles.

Please note: This position will be located on-site, in multiple countries across the Eastern EU and is contingent upon award.

Roles and Responsibilities

Distributes work assignments based on Maintenance Mechanic General Foreman instructions and oversees the technical, in-process, and final inspections of vehicles to meet USDA, DHS Customs and Border Protection, and U.S. Army requirements.

Manages the removal, cleaning, and reinstalling of batteries and battery boxes while maintaining accurate logs, records, and reports.

Oversees the performance of technical inspections on tactical wheeled vehicles, material handling equipment, and power generation systems.

Provides guidance to mechanics and laborers, focusing on tool accountability, compliance with the company’s Continuous Improvement Process (CIP), and QA programs.

Mentors' junior personnel, facilitates cross-training, and participates in ongoing training sessions to ensure skill development within the team.

Monitors work quality and task completion, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Maintains a clean and organized work area to support operational efficiency.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NAC-I. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience.

Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
