ASU's Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions is looking for an Academic Success Advisor Sr. to join our newly redesigned advising team at the Downtown Phoenix Campus. This position is intended for experienced professionals with advanced training in academic advising and substantial experience in student success initiatives. The advisor will play a crucial role in student retention and graduation by supporting students in making timely progress toward their degrees through various support strategies.
In this role, this person will assist students in completing their degree requirements on schedule. They will work alongside a team of advisors and recruiters at the Downtown Phoenix Campus and collaborate with staff from the Online and West Valley campuses to promote student enrollment, retention, and graduation through a mix of in-person and virtual academic support services.

Bachelor’s degree in related field and three (3) years or more of advising or related student services experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
One or more years of experience advising students at Arizona State University Experience in working effectively in an environment subject to quickly changing priorities, especially during busier seasons.Experience in communicating clearly, kindly, and concisely in writing while thinking ahead to anticipate future questions Experience working at ASU with Salesforce, Peoplesoft, and other student support tools, experience working with on-campus learners in-person and virtually.Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse;Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
