The Academic Coordinator position requires use of considerable independent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in a high pressure, high volume, fast-paced work environment. There is extensive and intensive contact with students and faculty, and a large amount of collaboration with various staff and departments from within the Newhouse School as well as various offices around the SU campus. The Academic Coordinator will oversee day-to-day operations of department and program business. Responsible for researching and compiling various forms of data (i.e., travel arrangements-airfare, bus companies, restaurants, and competitive program information.) This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.
