Responsible for supporting other primary care providers to ensure that the behavioral health provided meets the patient's needs. Acts as a liaison between the patient and other health care team members to make sure the treatment plan put in place by the care team is working effectively. Supports staff and patients to ensure screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with behavioral health disorders. Serves as an administrative and clinical resource in providing high quality patient care services in accordance with evidence-based and professional best-practice guidelines.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Provides clinical supervision to staff.
2. Maintains quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
3. Collaborates in development and implementation of services in accordance with strategic plans and goals.
4. Maintains all relevant statistics and reporting requirements.
5. Develops and revises service-specific policies & procedures ensuring consistency of same with AHS, ABH & NMC policies and procedures.
6. Responsible for the performance of all service-specific contractual and business operation obligations.
7. Conducts regular staff meetings and assures effective communication regarding essential concerns related to patient care.
8. Ensures department operation is within the budget, and provides additional clinical and non-clinical resources to develop care plans and goals.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
