ABH Coordinator
Job Function: + Assists in preparing annual program grant budgets and modifications to include staffing levels, volume, direct expenses & provides a clear, concise explanation/justification for the requested information. + Interprets, implements & assures adherence to Joint Commission, DMHAS & other regulatory standards with respect to patient care & organizational functions. + Communicates, interprets & educates staff regarding organizational & department policies & procedures & other matters affecting employees & their work. Conducts staff meetings & uses other avenues to achieve this function. + Responsible for the preparation, administration & performance of all department-specific contractual & business operation obligations. + Develops department-specific policies & procedures ensuring consistency of same with AHS, ABH & MMC policies & procedures. + Ensures high quality patient care services in accord with evidence-based & professional best-practice guidelines & promising practices. Maintains quality assurance, quality & performance improvement program. Provides clinical supervision to staff. + Ensures department operation within budgetary parameters. + Maintains all relevant statistics & reporting requirements. + Coordinates program area meetings & attends administrative & committee meetings. Collaborates with other AHS & ABH departments & external services & organizations with respect to patient care & other functions. + Shares the responsibility with Manager & others as needed for all staff actions including hiring, credentialing, promotions, scheduling, performance & day-to-day problem solving, evaluation of staff performance, disciplinary action. + Ensure staff meet their productivity requirements & maintains accuracy of reports & documents. + Ensure staff maintain client records in a manner consistent with policies, procedures, & standards of licensing & accrediting bodies. Ensure staff adherence to administrative standards with regard to caseload management & all procedures necessary for the payment of services. Coordinates clinical care within service area. + Provides clinical services, monitors all clinical casework & related paperwork within service area. Ensures chart review for completeness of all essential documentation within established timeframes. + Takes responsibility for professional growth & development via continuing education. + Other responsibilities as assigned. Other Tasks Which May be Required + Assists Manager in ensuring patient care & organizational operations adhere to AHS, ABH, MMC & service-specific policies & procedures, & in compliance with AHS vision, mission, goals, values, standards, & safety, environmental & infection control standards. Represents service in diverse ways & settings. + Performs other essential duties fundamental to the job. . Required Education and/or Experience: Master's or doctoral degree in mental health discipline; 5 years related experience in field Mental Health and Sexual Violence, 2 years clinical & administrative supervisory experience. Must have clinical license. Spanish Speaking a plus.
