Head of Traction Service Switzerland

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support business, collaborate with different teams, and contribute to the company's strategic objectives. Each day, you will gain knowledge by performing tasks as directed by the program manager/corresponding leader. Regular feedback and clearly established objectives will help you develop your strengths and maximize your growth. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and participating in the local Trainee Program. The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid This role is contributing to Motion Traction. Start date of the program is October 1st, 2025. The selection process is taking place in May/June 2025. You will be mainly accountable for: · • 1st assignment in Switzerland: Get to know our Traction Division, its business and product portfolio, for example drive improvements and support our Project management team in a Jr. Project Manager position. • 2nd assignment abroad in Spain: Take responsibility in a local unit for your second assignment; Experience a different work environment and experience another ABB Traction unit. • 3rd assignment in Switzerland The third assignment is to be jointly shaped by the business and trainee. Possible fields of exposure: Product Management, Sales, Project Management, Engineering, etc. • Contributing to diverse social events and team activities and using the chance to establish a broad network within ABB and be part of the ABB Discovery Trainee Community

Qualifications for the role

Graduates (Master) from university or applied science university in engineering and/or economics.Completed university studies before the start date October 1, 2025 Maximum three years of professional work experience by the start date October 1, 2025 Excellent knowledge of English; fluency or proficiency in German is a plus Authorization to work in Switzerland is required (at least B permit) Beyond these requirements and preferences, we strongly value other skills including: Analytical and target-oriented thinking and acting, Determined and solution-focused personality, Inquisitive, open-minded, and communicative team player with excellent ability to collaborate, Strong self-initiative and self-awareness, Highly adaptable and flexible to different styles, situations, and cultures o Innovative and creative mindset
