Your Mission\:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Internal Control Specialist to enhance the internal control framework across all Schneider Electric entities in Anglophone Africa.

This role involves contributing to the continuous improvement of internal controls, implementing action plans, and addressing areas requiring specific attention as requested by management.

The successful candidate will champion key internal controls, raise awareness, and ensure the effective segregation of duties within the territory. Please note, this is a fixed-term contract for only 8 months.

Your Role – Magic happens when you bring great people together

·  Strategic Planning - Internal Controls\:

o  Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls within defined business perimeters.

o  Design and implement value-added internal control processes as preventive measures.

·  Operational Execution - Internal Controls\:

o  Support the Key Internal Controls Self-Assessment process.

o  Execute and implement necessary action plans.

·  Relationship Management\:

o  Influence and persuade management on the value proposition and required actions for internal controls.

o  Translate feedback from business and management into actionable plans.

o  Actively participate in management meetings.

o  Collaborate with other Internal Controllers and Global Internal Audit teams to ensure alignment with group policies.

·  Additional Responsibilities\:

o  Serve as the process owner for certain key internal controls and oversee their implementation.

o  Act as the segregation of duties correspondent and contribute to the Chart of Authority within the territory.

o  Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure internal controls are in place and action plans are implemented where necessary.

o  Network with local internal controllers to share best practices and guidance.
