The SBLC Lead provides leadership to the SBLC Team members and promotes effective intervention programs to students across the division. Responsible for overseeing the SBLC program’s priorities, activities, and plans with general program leadership to ensure program efficiency, accountability, and concordance with division targets and improvement plans.

Develop and conduct SBLC professional development activities;                                                                   Ensure procedures to progress monitor students receiving MTSS Tiered supports are implemented and reviewed weekly;Monitor and meet regularly with SBCL team;                                                                                                     Provide coaching to SBLC team on the use of individual data to drive instruction;Ensure procedures for SBLC Team meetings are consistently implemented;  Develops and implements comprehensive plans for evaluating prevention and intervention programs, finding ways to triangulate data to assess for their ability to meet student needs;                                              Prepare a monthly data report for SBLC programs across grade levels;Consults frequently with colleagues utilizing data to make decisions, contributing insights and  data analysis; Ensure MTSS implement plan shows evidence of improving implementation on an ongoing basis;  Continually seeking ways to improve MTSS implementation and makes changes as needed in response to student, parent, teacher, or administrator input;                                                   Facilitates the implementation of the school district approved Section 504 and data collection policiesDevelops, continually revises, and ensures the implementation of consistent Section 504 and data collection procedures.Provides ongoing training and support to district staff regarding Section 504Collects and maintains all Section 504 plans and  data (504 plans, lists of eligible students)Serves as a daily resource to district administrators, school leadership teams, and other stakeholders regarding Section 504.Serves as the school district’s liaison to the Office for Civil Rights (OCR). (OCR complaint resolution and corrective action plan implementation).

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

           

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degreeFive (5) years of experience as a classroom teacherEquivalent combination of education and experience
