Qualifications: NYS School Counselor Certification required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working in a school setting preferred. The School Counselor/School Mental Health Worker provides counseling to students in need of counseling and/or support with their mental health needs. Minimum Requirements: Licensing/Certification according to state/facility/contract requirement The Counselor may be required to have an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Psychology, Addictions, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or some other Human Development major per state, contract and/or facility guidelines. Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age General Comments School Counselor - Randolph Campus & Hamburg Campus Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated School Counselor for our Randolph Campus. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive counseling services to students, support their academic and emotional development, and collaborate with faculty and parents. Responsibilities: Provide individual and group counseling to students. Develop and implement student support plans. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success. Conduct assessments and provide referrals to external resources as needed. Participate in school-wide initiatives and programs.
