Caterpillar is seeking a 3rd Shift Fabrications Production Manager in Sanford, NC. In this role, you will lead teams and supervises people in manufacturing sections to maximize efficiency in quality, velocity and cost.

What you can look forward to in this role:

Monitors and improves shop floor safety, aggressively eliminates unsafe processes. Assures fixtures & tooling are adequate, and processes are followed to meet production schedules. Determines priorities and sequences jobs. Schedules and prioritizes constrained resources and adjusts staffing to meet flow and customer requirements. Determines and executes disciplinary action when appropriate. Ensures preventive maintenance is performed according to schedule. Supports Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Internal Certification and others PQVC efforts Evaluates, assess, identifies and leads the deployment of workforce training for their shift. Supports Section Value Stream Mapping. Actively deploys section value stream improvements working with the manufacturing engineering.Practices CPS Guiding Principles. Initiates and conducts process improvement dialogues with Team Leads and Team Members. Drives root cause corrective action projects and drives continuous improvement. Leads section status reporting and monitors / audits section metrics; and Leads the creation, implementation and training of standard work procedures.

A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:

Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.Manufacturing Operations: Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.

Summary Pay Range:

$87,480.00 - $131,280.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
