Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate is someone who is certified to operate a forklift and perform multiple warehouse-related functions including; picking orders, packaging for shipment, etc. The Warehouse Associate pays careful attention on the job, follows instruction with precision and double-checks his or her work before completing each task. This person does not mind working in hot or cold conditions and can work an entire shift on his or her feet. This position requires accuracy above all other skills. Responsibilities and Duties: • Follow procedures as per training • Receive merchandise for return or delivery and verify its contents • Count and stock merchandise based on inventory control log • Identify damaged, lost or missing merchandise and notify supervisor immediately • Pick or pack orders in an orderly, sequential manner and close cartons so they are prepared for shipping • Treat merchandise with care and concern at all times • Scan all containers to determine appropriate contents as well as end destination • Operate power equipment in a responsible, safe manner at all times, as per OSHA requirements • Computer Usage, including: setting up orders, booking freight, quarantine freight, new labeling, inventory control Skills and Requirements: • High School diploma/GED preferred • Scanning device knowledge preferred • Forklift certification • Previous warehouse experience preferred • Computer skills preferred Physical Requirements: • Ability to work on feet during shift active duty • Lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs • Ability to hear power equipment alarm signals
