Job Summary

Summary Responsible for coordinating construction, installation, operation and maintenance of electrical power generating and distribution systems and equipment. Oversees powerhouse engineering projects and boiler outages.Does this position require Patient Care?Essential Functions-Directs preparation of drawings and specifications of equipment and materials for powerhouse construction projects or equipment installations.
-Estimates labor, material, construction and equipment costs.
-Prepares documents for capital and major maintenance expenditure review and approval.
-Prepares outage work scopes, contractor bid specifications and evaluations and ensures proper administration of contracts. <br>
-Inspects completed installations for conformance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.
-Observes operation of installation for conformance with operational standards.


 

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree Engineering preferred

Licenses and Credentials
3rd Class Engineer [Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Department of Fire Services required Wastewater Treatment Operator [Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Board of Certification of Operators of Wastewater Treatment Facilities required

Experience
Engineering Experience 3-5 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must possess a thorough understanding and knowledge of power generation and distribution related engineering principles.
- Must be analytical and detail oriented.
- Must possess ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects or phases of a project simultaneously.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment and involve others in a team approach.
- Must be knowledgeable of computer operations and associated software applications.
- Must be able to communicate across all levels.
