Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Developing data processing standards (techniques, strategies, and tools) for 3D dataCollecting 3D scan data on-siteCrafting and building fixtures required for individual scanningSubmitting requests for needed tools/equipmentCrafting as-built models from scan data (surface mesh/point cloud)Performing quality dimensional analysis on scan dataPreparing and presenting inspection reports to customersOccasionally leading meetings/discussions when requiredTraining and mentoring backup team membersConducting and participating in technical reviews with potential suppliers, design engineers, and the drafting teamSupervising eWorks requests and logging database entries via Microsoft AccessProviding status reports with estimated completion dates of requested inspection itemsProviding reports as needed for program status and estimatesObserving applicable procedures and practices as delineated in Test Operations Manual, PE Procedures, and Standard Procedures

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceProficient in written and spoken business communication skills

Preferred:

BS degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in the engineering field in a similar position/groupProven experience with using, manipulating, and applying CAD knowledge to communicate results from quality analysis scansSound Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing interpretation and application understandingStrong mechanical and organizational problem-solving skills3D Scanning knowledge or experience with surface mesh data and point cloudsExperience with inspection techniquesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsUS Citizenship required

Preferred:

3D Scanning experience and analyzing 3D datasetsExperience with Gom/Novacam/Polyworks/Geomagic/Zeiss Inspect SoftwareBasic knowledge of automatic transmission operationUnderstanding of machine and manufacturing processes
