Reporting to the 2nd Shift Production Manager, the Materials Handler is responsible for the movement of materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations within the production floor.
What a typical day looks like:
Read production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priorityCoordinate efficient flow of materials and products throughout the purchasing, manufacturing and assembly processWork with internal departments (purchasing, planning, etc.) and vendors (as needed) to get updated status of materialsInform production supervisors of material status and consult with supervisor to determine how to resolve outstanding materials that could affect productionLocate and distribute materials to specified production areasMaintain a clean and safe work areaPerforms other related duties as assignedThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:
High School Diploma or equivalent0-2 years’ experience in manufacturing, warehouse management, or other related fieldsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailEfficient time management skillsGeneral understanding of blueprints, wiring drawings, schematics, or engineering diagramsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:
