Job Title: 2nd Shift Machine Operator

Job DescriptionAs a 2nd Shift Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various manual and automated machines. You will study blueprints, manuals, and dispatch specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements. This role also involves performing pre-operational inspections and fully operating multiple machines as needed, including Conventional and CNC machines (lathe and mills).ResponsibilitiesPerform complex set-ups without assistance.Operate machines on trial runs to verify accuracy of machine settings.Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.Run parts through processes such as automated welding, sheer & brake presses, automated and manual saws, swaging, polishing, draw bench, roto draw machines, vacuum furnaces, HON machines, straightening, flattening, and roll-flow machines.Assemble parts and/or pieces adhering to blueprints or dispatch sheets.Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications.Place finished parts into boxes and send to inspection.Package and stage finished parts.Conduct troubleshooting with minimal or no assistance, identifying and resolving problems.Essential Skills3+ years of experience as a machine operator.High School Diploma or GED.Basic computer skills.Ability to read and understand blueprints and program codes.Capability to work within a team environment.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with driving sit-down forklifts and operating cranes is a plus, but not required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
