2025 Systematic Trading Analyst Program - Summer Internship – United States

The Automated Trading Strategies (ATS) group is responsible for systematic trading across FX, Rates, Commodities, and Credit markets, designing and implementing automated pricing, risk management and hedging, and order execution strategies. ATS works closely with other internal parties (voice trading desks, sales, product, and technology) to understand the needs of clients and advance JPMorgan’s market-leading electronic trading services.

We are looking for candidates that are eager to learn and thrive in a fast-paced challenging environment. The candidate will need to be able to work on projects independently while collaborating with the wider team. Clear written and verbal communication is a must. Members of the team are also expected to cover a wide range of responsibilities spanning from trading, research, and engineering.

Job Responsibilities

Analyze data to identify patterns and revenue opportunities  Design trading and execution strategies and researching micro-patterns and trends Conduct back testing and assessing pricing, risk management and execution strategies Expand the group’s library of modelling, analytics, and automation tools Review trading performance and making data driven decisions Maintain and improve trading software systems and tools Resolve day-to-day trading issues

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or other quantitative fields with expected graduation between December 2025 and August 2026 Knowledge and proficiency in strong programming skills in C++/Java or other object-oriented languages Knowledge of statistics and machine learning Excellent attention to detail, adaptable, driven and collaborative Demonstrate interest in markets and systematic trading Strong Intellectual curiosity 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

Knowledge and proficiency in understanding and mapping data flows across applications and data sources  Prior internship experience is a plus Experience with KDB+/q
