Department Summary

Our department specializes in System Integration and Testing, where we navigate the intersection of ecosystems or systems of systems. We play a vital role in ensuring product compliance through rigorous testing, supporting successful product launches. Incorporating AI into our testing processes is a natural progression, allowing us to deliver safe and effective products to our customers.

This internship position is located in Indianapolis, IN on-site. 

The Opportunity

The student will investigate the feasibility of using AI-powered automated testing tools to generate, execute, and maintain software test cases. They will assess the potential benefits of AI-driven testing tools, focusing on return on investment (ROI), with the final deliverable being a proof of concept (POC) demonstration.

Assessing AI-centric testing tools and evaluating their feasibility for use.

Evaluating the ease of use, including the technical knowledge required to utilize the target tool(s)

Assessing AI supported visual tools

Detecting defects with AI supported tools

Improving efficiency in test coverage across the software testing process

Program Highlights

Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)

A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. 

Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are

Required Education

- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).

​Required Majors: Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related fields.

Required Skills: 

Programming and Software Development (Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript, Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG)

AI-driven testing tools

Test Automation and Quality Assurance

Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking

Cloud Computing (optional but valuable)

Soft Skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

The expected salary for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $45.00 hour.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
