This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on site.
The Opportunity
The intern will lead the development of technology in advanced genetic screening experiments focusing on single-cell spatial biology.
The project will require a basic understanding of molecular biology, cell engineering, microscopy, and sequencing. Basic programming skills are required to interpret collected data.
The preliminary step will involve learning protocols through assisting with existing projects.
An essential part of the role is effectively communicating plans and results and iterating on experimental designs.
Program Highlights
Full time for at least first 12 weeks (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in May (Summer)
A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

Who You Are
Required Education
You meet one of the following criteria:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher (enrolled student).
Required Majors
Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field
Required Skills
Experience with experimental technology development in single-cell biology.
Familiarity with CRISPR-based genome editing and single-cell imaging.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position in California is $25.00 - $33.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
