What you can expect in this role 

As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 28th, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include

Assist in testing the design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of key controls. The intern will learn about the various business processes within all of Charter's operations by attending walkthroughs and reviewing documentation. They will also learn about the associated risks and mitigating controls. Lastly, the intern will test operating effectiveness of these controls in order to make conclusions on the overall financial reporting framework.

Required qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced DegreeMust have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current programAbility to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the programAuthorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred qualifications

Understanding of Accounting concepts, business writing and audit foundationsStrong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.Analytical skillsCollaboration skillsCommunication skills – verbal and writtenDrives results through effective project and time managementProficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
