What you can expect in this role 

As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 28th, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include

The Instructional Design Intern will learn to develop and support the development of a variety of learning materials targeted to current Sales & Marketing employees.Create clear learning objectives in support of business goals. Design and develop high-quality learning content. Conduct reviews of training materials to ensure learning objectives are met. Provide enhancements and revisions to existing materials. Create and implement evaluation plans to demonstrate business impact of training initiatives.

Required qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced DegreeMust have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current programAbility to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the programAuthorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred qualifications

Ability to effectively build engaging learning content.

Proficiency using learning content management and development software such as Xyleme, Articulate 360, Rise, Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, and Vyond.

Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.Analytical skillsCollaboration skillsCommunication skills – verbal and writtenDrives results through effective project and time managementProficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
