As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 28th, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.
Internship responsibilities may include
Your role as a Sustainability intern will focus on energy efficiency initiatives and support the Corporate Services’ organization for carbon neutral goal planning and sustainable buildings practices. Focusing within our energy efficiency program, the Sustainability intern will help identify energy conservation measures for sites based upon energy audits, recommend energy conservation practices for similar sites across the portfolio, and present the findings to the Buildings Energy Efficiency Community of Practice and Corporate Services leadership.
This position will report to the Manager, Sustainability, and be mentored by the Senior Director, Sustainability.
Assist with the development and implementation of energy efficiency programs and initiatives
Conduct research and analysis on energy usage and conservation practices
Assist in tracking and reporting on energy savings and program results
Communicate with stakeholders and customers about energy efficiency programs and opportunities
Assist in conducting energy audits and assessments
Perform other duties as requested that support the success of Charter’s Sustainability program

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced DegreeMust have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current programAbility to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the programAuthorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorshipPreferred qualifications
