Job Description

Our credit analyst team

Credit analysts underwrite custom credit requests, participate in structuring loan transactions, monitor borrower financial performance, and interact with relationship managers and clients to support the clients’ banking needs.

What you’ll do

Conduct analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests, providing recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk. Over the course of our 3-year program, you will receive accelerated learning and skill development through a mix of formal training, mentorship, and a community of peers and advisors.

As a credit development program analyst, you’ll:

Oversee preparation of historical financial statement spreads, quarterly trend analysis (QTA) reports, quarterly monitoring reports and financial projections using standard software for existing and prospective clientsMeasure, monitor, and test a wide variety of financial covenants as specified within credit approval documentsRead and interpret relevant credit approval requirements to accurately input monitoring requirements and covenants into a standard compliance monitoring systemAnalyze financial statement results and prepare reports to communicate financial performance and trends with Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, and/or Credit AdministrationInteract with clients as appropriate; attend meetings or calls with companies in the supported portfolioDevelop technical and business acumen through training, mentorship, and exposure to senior executivesBuild a supportive community of peers through a variety of cohort strengthening activities such as social events, volunteer days, and development workshops
 

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for talent with demonstrated leadership capabilities, strong work ethic, effective communication skills, and intellectual curiosity.

Basic qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree completed prior to start date (or equivalent experience and up to 1 year experience in a finance/analytical related role)Basic understanding of Financial/Accounting terms, concepts, and applicationsAbility to start development program on June 23, 2025

Preferred qualifications:

Preferred GPA of 3.0 or aboveStrong written and verbal communication skillsWell-developed analytical skillsAcute attention to detailAbility to work well under pressure and time constraintsAbility to work equally well in a team environment and independently, exhibiting initiative, ownership, and flexibilityAbility to work well under pressure and time constraintsEffective oral and written communication skills Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Working model and hours:

This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

Development program members work approximately 40-hours each week in this fulltime role.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $66,640.00 - $78,400.00 - $86,240.00
