About the Opportunity We are looking for a Logistics Operation Lead to assist in various Logistics duties, and to ensure quality and Logistics standards are met in a timely, accurate and safe manner. There are a variety of sub classifications within the Operation job role, that could range from performing manufacturing processes/ tasks, packaging the final product, and disassembling and cleaning/ sanitizing the processing equipment. This diverse and unique position will expose the ideal candidate to manufacturing, sanitation, and quality processes. This role will report directly to our Logistics Supervisor and will work out of our brand-new state of the art manufacturing facility in Whitehall Ohio. Responsibilities + Operate stretch wrap machines. + Familiarity with modern warehouse practices and methods including operating scanners or handheld devices used to move and track items. + Prepare and complete orders for shipping according to the schedule. + Ability to lift 50 lbs. + Computer-based order picking in cooler or freezer environment. + Maintain accurate records of products that have been stocked and shipped. + Check in and sign out drivers in log. + Inventory cycle-counting + Check in raw materials, packaging supplies, and other deliveries according to procedures. + Label all incoming materials according to procedures. + Stock production lines with needed materials. + Keep warehouse areas interior and exterior clean and organized. Daily cleaning will be required. + Flexibility to work off-shifts, including days or nights, weekends, or holidays. Quality Assurance + Ensure compliance with quality policies and procedures, including product hold and traceability. + Report any discrepancies with product or code dates. + Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet SQF, regulatory, company, and customer requirements . Health and Safety + Ensure the use safe work practices and that safe working conditions exist. + Conduct daily equipment checks as required. + Report any damage or equipment issue to Supervisor. + Ensure compliance with government regulations. + Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security. + Operate all forklifts according to OSHA standard and company policies and SOPs. + Must be able to work in coolers and freezers for extended periods. PPE will be provided. + Follow company safety policies and practices fostering a safe workplace and environment for ourselves and our co-workers. Requirements     Education and/or Experience: + Good communication skills + High School diploma or Equivalent + Basic math skills + Must have 1-3 years prior Logistics experience; food distribution a plus + Must have good command of the English language, both written and verbal + Basic computer skills and ability to use mobile apps. + Flexibility to work off-shifts, including days or nights, weekends, or holidays. + Ability to work in team environment, team player + Reliable, self-motivated and quick learner.
