1st Class Pipefitter
Job Title: Pipefitter Location: Jacksonville FL Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in mechanical equipment and piping installations, with the ability to read blueprints, understand job specifications, and execute precise measurements. This role involves constructing complete piping systems for large industrial projects, requiring technical proficiency and hands-on experience. Key Responsibilities: + Utilize knowledge of mechanical equipment and piping installations to construct complete piping systems. + Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, and target point measurements. + Install various valves, suction diffusers, guides, circuit setters, expansion tanks, pumps, chillers, automatic air vents, and pressure regulators. + Ensure proper installation of all forms of piping system hangers, supports, and braces. + Operate overhead cranes and forklifts, adhering to safe rigging systems and techniques. + Direct and monitor helpers safely and efficiently. + Maintain accountability for daily work assignments, ensuring quality, safety, and health regulations are met. + Document quality reporting methods according to SEA Quality Standards. + Perform minor maintenance tasks and assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues. Skills: + Pipe fitting + Blueprint reading + Threading and welding + Beveling, cutting, and tacking Qualifications: + Fluent in understanding job specifications, blueprint reading, target point measurements, and torque requirements for large industrial piping systems. + Hands-on working knowledge of datum lining, equipment/piping center lines, and work points. + Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. + Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. + Physically and medically qualified to wear required PPE per OSHA standards. + Intermediate level experience in pipe fitting. Additional Skills & Qualifications: + Experience with beveling, cutting, and tacking. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely.
