\r\nPosition starting wage is $17.00 and increases $3.00 after 60 days!
\r\n**Must have Machine Operator experience!**
\r\nPosition Summary :
\r\nThe mechanic operator is responsible for the day to day setup/tear down and simple maintenance of machines
\r\nEssential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:
\r\nProcess product using tools and equipment provided
\r\nFollows all work safety policies and guidelines
\r\nObserves equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns
\r\nAdheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) product standards and guidelines
\r\nMaintains a clean and organized work area
\r\nUse material handling equipment when needed
\r\nBe LOTO trained and maintain LOTO equipment
\r\nPerforms other duties as assigned
\r\nAble to direct team members on line on when to rotate and stop production for breaks and end of day
\r\nMust be a self-starter and have the ability to lead and motivate a team
\r\nAvailable to work on unscheduled work days to complete PM’s on machines
\r\nMust be able to load and unload rolls of film at approx. 50 lbs each with help of film lift
\r\nAccountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours
\r\nWill be required to assist in clean up at break times and end of shift including dumping trash and operating compactor
\r\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
\r\nAbility to work in a fast paced environment
\r\nAbility to trouble shoot minor problems of machine
\r\nAbility to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions
\r\nMust maintain accurate speed in order to meet the pieces per person
\r\nMust be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
\r\nMust be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
\r\nMust pass a background check, drug screen
\r\nMust be able to read and write
\r\nMust be able to use the computer associated with machine
\r\nAbility to multitask and visualize product issues such as air in product and air voids
\r\nAbility to meet time standards for each line (ex. 4 pieces of product per min)
\r\nBe able to read and comprehend daily schedules
\r\nBe able to do changeovers in a timely manner
\r\nAbility to complete paperwork hourly and turn in daily
\r\nPhysical Requirements :
\r\nStanding (8 hours a day or more),
\r\nLifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more)
\r\nReaching overhead (up to and including 25lbs)
\r\nClimbing and adjusting film on machine
\r\nGripping, grasping and twisting using hands and wrists
\r\nCompleting PM’s on machines on non-production days
\r\nWorking Conditions/Department Description:
\r\nWork in damp and cold environment
\r\nWork with loud and noisy machinery
\r\nWork in dusty environment when using spice
\r\nWork with raw meat
\r\nWork in congested areas
