Drive the development of the site Planning and Inventory strategies, monitor the team performance and metrics. Incorporate the Planning and Inventory vision into all elements of the plan. Recognize subject matter experts on Planning and Inventory process, tools and applications. Manage a team of direct and indirect resources to effectively support the execution of the strategy deployment plans. Contributes to multi-functional, regional or global assignments
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Maintains responsibility for management of materials availability to support build plans throughout the product life cycle for a specific business unit or customer set. Leads efforts to reduce material cost and assess/respond to supply risks. Manages the development of delivery requirements (OTD), material plans and short-range capacity plans to meet production schedules and inventory objectives. Leads the teams that are responsible for customer interface from SCM including relationship management and as focal point for all SCM related issues. Responsible for ownership of Site Inventory results working with site GM’s, SSCM managers and customer VP/GMs. Participates in process improvements to help achieve inventory targets and maximize return on investment in alignment with the Global Planning Corporate team. Responsible for ensuring Celestica is compliant with internal and external audits in alignment with procedures and policies. Directly manages a group of SCM employees including employee training, performance, measurement, development, motivation and recognition. Responsible for leading and monitoring Planning & Inventory Metrics and KRIs. Establishes department goals/ measurements and manages resources to achieve these goals. Responsible for ensuring the overall SIOP process is followed according to the Procedure (Including Demand Management, MPS Analysis, Production Schedule, etc). Responsible for effectively managing E & O Inventory (including FIA, Customer Contracts and understanding Customer Collaboration). Responsible for meeting Inventory Entitlement according to the Quotes for each of their customers in the site. Responsible for maintaining the correct Planning Parameters. Responsible for driving Inventory Investments as needed. Responsible for ensuring correct SS and ROP are set up to optimize Inventory Management. Responsible for ensuring Revenue and Inventory projections are met. Responsible to drive Flexibility Programs with Suppliers Lead continuous improvements of SCM function through interactions with other departments. Responsible for annual physical inventory, site surplus/excess sale process and disposition of scrap material. Responsible for managing regional / mega site purchase materials for multiple manufacturing operation sites to support customer business needs. Manages the administration of all site purchasing contracts and agreements (Flexibility program contract & etc). Manages overall relationship with and performance of suppliers. Reviews supplier performance and makes recommendations on changes or disqualifications. Communicates internally committed delivery schedule for purchased materials required in production. Supervises and maintains communications with supplier’s through SCM Tools (CSC, EDI, email solution) Responsible for the team execution for deployment and mitigation of OAR in Inventory Entitlement according to the Quotes for each of their customers in the operation sites. Acting Procurement Ops Lead during absent of lead or assigned ad hoc task representing Lead Leads management of logistics solutions for materials availability to support build plans throughout the product life cycle for a specific business unit or customer set. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes. In-depth knowledge and understanding of global supply chain management, distribution methods, and global transportation services and inventory management. Good understanding of IT concepts and integrated business applications. Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight deadlines. Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers. Strong presentation skills. Ability to effectively lead, manage, assess, train and motivate a diverse group of employees. ERP System Logic Understanding. Rapid Response Kinaxis System Knowledge. Other processes within centering Procurement and site operations In-depth knowledge and understanding of global supply chain logistics, trade Compliance with understanding how logistics impacts SCM and inventory management. Strong knowledge in all areas of import / export, regulatory and logistics management Provide guidance and direction to business units to achieve site logistics financial results and maintains strong relationship with GM, Controller Strong knowledge (if pertains) to Free Trade Agreements, HS Tariff, Duty/VAT, ITAR regulations, Sanctions and Embargoes Physical DemandsDuties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
Duties of this position require continuous light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motion, standing, sitting in a confined work space,
Occasional overnight travel is required.
8+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A solid understanding of electronics manufacturing and planning is required.
Understand the industry in which the customer resides.
Understand the requirements for flexibility, cost and quality that will be needed by the customer.
Define and monitor key performance metrics.
Establish and grow internal and external relationships throughout multiple business levels of the account (Buyers, Planners, Managers, Directors and others).
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials Logistics Management, or related discipline, or an equivalent proven track record in an EMS or similar environment
