PECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES-
Maintain accurate attendance records.
Assist in the development and implement individualized, functional behavior program.
Develop structured and individualized academic programs.
Responsible for organization and implementation of the classroom program including, classroom behavior program, school wide behavior program, PBIS, IEPs, Behavior treatment plans, classroom data.
Responsible for writing weekly lesson plans
Responsible for writing IEP goals.
Attend and participate in the Annual Review of the IEP as well as student Case Conferences.
Plan appropriate educational field trips.
Maintains records of and submits petty cash receipts in a timely manner.
Attend professional developments and turn key information to the learning community.
Prompt and regular attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS-
Bachelors or higher from an accredited institution
Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district and state.
NYS Special Education Certification with 4 years of experience
Relevant teaching experiences and knowledge of relevant technology
Acceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, Driver license and fingerprinting as required by the program.
This position requires successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training, which includes a written test and demonstration of the competency to perform physical restraints, as specified by the program and regulatory body. Additionally, staff must successfully complete all required TCI refreshers in order to maintain continued employment
