MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS REQUIRED EDUCATION REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Quality Improvement methodologies Conducting a system analysis of healthcare,associated infections and institute preventative measures Interpretation and application of the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) definitions Auditing (e.g. compliance to hand hygiene and environmental cleaning audits) Computer literate (Microsoft Office) IPC surveillance and risk identification Report writing skills Identification; investigation and management of outbreaks Understanding and application of relevant IPC principles Relevant statutory requirements and accreditation standards Data analysis and interpretation
