Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the welding trial production and welding process development of new product projects, including designing welding processes, defining welding parameters, welding seam quality inspection, developing welding fixtures, and solving welding problems in the production process. The work model for the role is: onsite.This role is contributing to the Electrification business area.You will be mainly accountable for:New Product welding trial production:•\tComplete the welding trial production of new product, including manual welding and robot welding;•\tRecord the welding process, feedback the problems in the welding process, and put forward suggestions for improvementWelding Process Development:•\tAccording to the product structure, design a reasonable welding process scheme and welding sequence (such as TIG welding, MIG/MAG welding, resistance welding or laser welding). •\tDefine welding parameters to ensure weld strength, tightness, and corrosion resistance•\tSolve the problems of thin plate welding deformation and residual stress, and improve the structural stability and appearance qualityDevelopment of welding equipment and fixtures•\tAccording to the welding process, raise the requirements of automation equipment, jigs and tools and develop•\tCommissioning and acceptance of automation equipment, jigs and tools•\tOptimize the design of existing fixtures, improve welding efficiency and reduce production costs Process Documentation•\tCompletion of Welding Process Qualification (PQR) and draft Welding Process Specification (WPS)•\tSOP Draft SOP.Production Support & Problem Solving•\t Organize process training•\t Analyze welding defects (such as porosity, cracks, non-fusion, etc.) and propose improvement plans •\tSupport the programming and debugging of automated welding equipment (such as welding robots)
Qualifications for the role\tBachelor degree or above, major in materials, mechanical or welding related.\tMore than 3 years of working experience in the field of welding, experience in welding application of power equipment is preferredWelding knowledge and skill:\tMaster TIG, MIG/MAG, stud welding, resistance welding, laser welding and other processes and be proficient in operation\tFamiliar with welding quality inspection standards, such as ISO, AWS, etc\tFamiliar with welding process parameters, such as current, voltage, welding speed, etc.;\tFamiliar with welding process parameters, such as current, voltage, welding speed, etc.;\tFamiliar with welding process parameters, such as current, voltage, welding speed, etc.;Equipment Operation\tProficient in the use of manual welding equipment and auxiliary tooling\tAble to operate ABB robots and teach welding paths; adjust welding parameters\tAble to operate robot welding power supply; adjust welding parameters\tAble to carry out daily maintenance and simple troubleshooting of equipmentTools & Software:\tProficient in the use of CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks and others to design fixtures\tMaster welding simulation softwareAbility to communicate in English, both written and oral.Problem Solving Skills\tHave strong problem analysis and solving ability, and be able to solve welding quality problems\tFamiliar with quality tools. Communication and collaboration skills\tHave good communication and cooperation skills, and cooperate with design, process, production, quality and other departments\tAble to guide front-line staff to operate and organize training.
