【IT】Senior Database Administrator(DBA)
Job Responsibility

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage and maintain acer global IT’s databases, ensuring data security, system availability, and optimal performance. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of administrating large enterprise DB and will be responsible for ensuring the DBA team's effectiveness in supporting the acer database infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute DB policies for managing and maintaining the acer’s databases, ensuring data security, system availability, and optimal performance. Improve and optimize the policy.
2. Plan and execute database installation, upgrades, backups, and recovery operations.
3. Develop and implement database security mechanisms.
4. Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance through parameter tuning, performance analysis, and other techniques.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve database problems in a timely manner, and perform root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
6. Demonstrate leadership to the DBA team, set objectives, and ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary skills to carry out their duties effectively.
7. Work closely with development teams to ensure that database design and coding align with industry standards and best practices.
8. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the database field and make recommendations on their adoption.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in managing and maintaining databases, the experience leading a team of DBAs is a plus.
3. Proficiency in Oracle database management is a must, and experience with other databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL is a plus.
4. Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified Expert/Associate (MCE/MCA) are preferred.
5. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
7. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
8. Experience with Nagios, Maxgauge, and Imperva, and other relevant monitoring and auditing tools.
9. Proven ability to improve SLA, standardize processes, and automate tasks.
