The Secondary Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, of protection and control systems for large-scale substation projects, specifically focusing on 400 KV and 765 KV systems. This role requires hands-on experience with both Gas-Insulated Substations (GIS) and Air-Insulated Substations (AIS). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in substation automation, protection schemes, and control systems, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of substation operations.
What will you do? /Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation:Develop detailed designs for protection and control systems for 400 KV and 765 KV substations.Prepare and review technical specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.Implement and configure protection relays, control systems, and automation solutions for GIS and AIS substations.Documentation and Compliance:Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design documents, test reports, and operation manuals.Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC) and regulatory requirements.Prepare and present technical reports and documentation for project handover and future reference.Technical Collaboration:Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary engineers, project managers, and clients, to ensure seamless integration of protection and control systems.Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.Stay updated with the latest advancements in protection and control technologies and incorporate best practices into project designs.Experience, Education and other Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.10-15 years of experience in substation projects, with a focus on 400 KV and 765 KV systems.Hands-on experience with both Gas-Insulated Substations (GIS) and Air-Insulated Substations (AIS) Secondary EngineeringIn-depth knowledge of protection schemes, control systems, Relay setting and substation automation.Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for design and simulation (e.g., ETAP, PSCAD, AutoCAD).Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC) and regulatory requirements.Experience with digital substations and advanced protection systems.Knowledge of SCADA systems and communication protocols used in substations.What we offer:
