Qualitest is seeking a POS QA Analyst to join our team, where you will play a key role in projects involving Retail Point of Sale (POS) systems, specifically Oracle Xstore 17. In this position, your primary responsibility will be managing the testing phases leading up to User Acceptance Testing (UAT), while ensuring comprehensive test automation and quality assurance across the entire SDLC.

 

This is a full-time, onsite position in Downtown Vancouver, BC, requiring you to work 5 days a week in the office.

 

Key responsibilities include:

Driving and owning testing phases prior to UAT, ensuring all requirements are met and validated. Translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications for testing purposes. Monitoring system performance and identifying areas for optimization. Documenting Manual Test Cases, creating Regression and Smoke Test suites to address identified issues. Reproducing production issues within Stage and QA environments for debugging and resolution. Effectively managing and reporting on QA risks, mitigation strategies, and timelines. Familiarity with Java unit testing frameworks to ensure automation is integrated seamlessly into the testing process. A strong understanding of SDLC processes, including the importance of Shift Left methodologies and the need for comprehensive test automation.

Requirements: 

7+ years of hands-on testing experience with Oracle Xstore 17 or similar Point of Sale (POS) systems and devices. Proven automation experience within Oracle Xstore 17 or similar desktop devices. In-depth knowledge of IT SDLC processes, with practical experience in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies. Ability to work full-time (5 days/week) in the POS Lab.
